FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT DERMAL FILLERS

Do Fillers Hurt?

Dermal fillers contain lidocaine, a common anesthetic, which helps patients tolerate the minor “pinch and pressure” associated with injections. There is minimal downtime associated with dermal fillers. Patients are treated with ice immediately following the procedure. While the potential for bruising and swelling exists, if it occurs it normally lasts only a few days.

How long do fillers last?

Dermal fillers can last anywhere from 4-24 months.

When will I see dermal filler results?

Dermal filler results are immediate, and you can expect to see the full correction within 7-14 days.

Can I get dermal fillers the day before a big event?

Dermal filler recovery time may vary. While not everyone will bruise, there may be swelling and bruising at the injection site that can last up to 2-weeks. We do not recommend scheduling filler appointments around major events due to the possibility of bruising.

How do dermal fillers get rid of wrinkes?

Dermal fillers replace lost natural hyaluronic acid in the skin and add volume to the treated areas.

Can I get dermal fillers the same day as other injectables?

Yes, you can receive dermal fillers the same day you receive other injectable treatments.

I have recently taken the plunge and began enhancing my face with dermal fillers and Botox. I figured that I am now 56, never thought I really needed anything but started a bit at a time – never thought that I could get major results without surgery – and then I met Danielle – her results with my face are the results I never thought I could get – I look 20 years younger / her work is impeccable and the results speak for themselves – also her work is stellar – she checks up to inspect the process and make sure everything is healing nicely – I would highly recommend her.
